What is vernacular school for when u can still learn your Hokkien or Mandarain or Cantonese in Sekolah Kebangsaaan. I am a Malay and I feel comfortable when I be friend with a Chinese who can speak Malay fluently,not with a broken English. And I have a Chinese friend with that capability that I even willing to give him the Bumiputera status if I can do so. I've been overseas where Chinese cannot do much without speaking English fluently. Why are we so protective of vernacular school and yet we demand for social right or whatever you want to call it. Are we being Singapore?Look what happened to Malay in Singapore?Seats in Parliament for Malay?How much? The latest detention of RPK under ISA etc, is making us sick. I voted BN for many elections and even the last election. The last 6 months brought out many things bad. If Gerakan remain in BN, it will be demolished. In the last election, the bad feeling was not personal. The next election, it will be be so. It is better for Gerakan to try to re-build.
